Exotic Discoveries Travel Agency is a boutique agency. This means we are small, focused on a certain destination, and are more personalized than other travel services.

Does that mean we cost more than using websites like Expedia or Orbitz? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Most of the time, we cost exactly the same. And sometimes, we can even cost less!

How is this possible? We don't charge our customers for the services we provide (hotel reservations, car rental reservations, cruise reservations, etc.) We make our living by commissions received from the vendors themselves.

Does that mean we try to haggle you into a bad hotel just because they pay a higher commission? Again, ABSOLUTELY NOT! We would rather a lower commission and a repeat customer, than a 1% or 2% higher commission and a customer who never returns. Why? It's more lucrative for us, it builds our reputation and we eventually start making higher commissions with the good vendors because of high volume business.

We pride ourselves on knowing that we have a solid product to share with our customers - and that product is our knowledge. Because we are such a small, focused agency, we rely 100% on repeat business and word of mouth. We really do care how you perceive our service to you! The truth about websites like Expedia, Orbitz, etc.

What many travelers don't know is that websites like Expedia, Orbitz, etc. are really just big, huge travel agencies.

These "agencies" outsource jobs, provide extremely impersonal service, and are normally almost impossible to contact in a crisis.

Now, let's compare this to a small agency like Exotic Discoveries:

Our prices are the same, if not sometimes even better.

We are always here for you, and our agents provide you with their home and personal cell phone numbers to contact them with any problems.

And lastly, we are located here in Miami, FL. That means if you have a problem checking in, we can call/fax/or even DRIVE OVER to your hotel and make sure the situation is resolved quickly.
